Double-flower Fritillary
Hand-glazed porcelain
Hand-painted copper stems and leaves
Sculpted and glazed entirely by hand, every specimen is an individual and unique work of art

Native to Alpine meadows, Fritilaria melagris, is commonly known as chess flower or snake's head fritillary, and is an extremely rare case of a 90-degree angle occurring in horticulture. The flower's checkered pattern makes it appear as if Josef Hoffmann himself had collaborated with Mother Nature.
