As part of its tenth anniversary celebration, Neue Galerie New York has collaborated with Akris designer Albert Kriemler on the creation of a limited edition scarf available at the Neue Galerie Design Shop. The scarf was inspired by architect Joseph Maria Olbrich’s renowned 1908 building, The Wedding Tower, on the Mathildenhöhe in Darmstadt, Germany. This unique piece features a photo of the structure taken by Jürgen Schreiter printed on both cashmere and silk. The works of Joseph Maria Olbrich, who co-founded the Vienna Secession movement, were the inspiration for the Akris Fall/Winter 2011 runway collection.
